Grab the moment
I drove home around sunset. As soon as I turned towards to my home, a wonderful sight opened up in front of me. Breathtaking colors filled the picture, a unique painting made itself visible. I couldn't stop in the traffic, even though I kept thinking that I had to capture this.
I sped up a little, while glancing westward at the half of the sky covering the blocks of flats. I kept thinking about which street to turn halfway up the hills to catch the setting sun.
My journey home only took a few minutes, I knew I wouldn't be able to catch the sun and so it was, by the time I stopped the engine, it was dark, colors have disappeared.
How often does it happen to you that you really want to stop time, grab the wonderful moments, engrave forever, store the good feeling they give.
It also often happens that you cannot achieve a miracle, even though it is right in front of you and yet far away. The miracle is there, just not for you and not now. You can choose to rush after something that is out of reach anyway, stepping on the gas, putting yourself and others in danger, or to let go, taking it easy. Even in this sunset there was the release, perhaps of the daily stress, the rush of today and in it was the hope of another day.
In fact, we need this every day, we grasp it, live it and let it go. The point is to let spasm gone. Sunset teaches like sunrise, the question is whether you pay attention to it.
Someone managed to capture the miracle, I'm sharing his picture.
To grab, to live, to let go, again and again...
